CASE STUDY

Building a professional identity for an

ambitious startup

Site Axis

Site Axis is an independent, furniture installation and joinery company based in North West England working alongside high-end construction companies. They pride themselves at providing a collaborative solution and deliver a broad range of services. Their unique approach drives extraordinary results and value for their customers ensuring that projects are delivered with integrity and professionalism.

Services

  • Logo design
  • Visual identity

The problem

SITE AXIS were concerned their professionalism would be put under scrutiny without the right identity.

The mission

Having been in operation for 12 months, what started as a sideline quickly developed into a great profitable business. However, in order to grow, they needed a  logo and visual identity to be able to promote their services more professionally.

The outcome

A versatile logo was created with a simple and fresh feel. Not too arty but not boring! To be used on business stationary and eventually used on a company website. The logo would also need to be utilised on a hi-vis and staff uniform.

The impact

Now with professional visual identity SITE AXIS are confident working with and approaching some of the big players within the construction industry and know they will now be taken seriously.

Stylescapes

Working with to client to find the right direction with a series of curated images, textures, typography styles, and colours to communicate a certain look and feel.

Direction 1

‘The professionals’

Key thoughts: Professionalism, Service, Experts

This concept is all about keeping things simple, straight lines, precision, and muted colour palette.
“These guys know what they are doing…”

    Direction 2

    ‘Rely on us’

    Key thoughts: Trustworthy, Integrity, Honesty

This idea is a bit of a warmer approach, introducing a little colour, and softening the fonts with some curves.
    “Honesty and strong principles…”
      Direction 3

      ‘Future ambition’

      Key thoughts: Brave, Ambitious, Passionate

The final concept is looking closely at where the company is headed. This was the wild card option. A bold statement of intent using a strong capped font with darker tones contrasting bright colours.
Stretch your limits, we have ambition…”

        Logo exploration

Developing the logo based on the ‘future ambition’ direction.

Bringing it all together digitally and in print.

         myHAPPY CLIENT

“My branding had been shelved for far too long and I was getting concerned my professionalism would be put under scrutiny if I didn’t move fast and have the right identity.

Nick has surpassed all my expectations, by creating a logo and developing a visual identity system, that is in keeping with my brief and more importantly gave me the identity I am proud of. Throughout the whole process his communication was great and he gave me the confidence in my decision to use his expertise.”
